Kiteboarding Lessons

Learn to Kite Surf with a certified IKO Instructor (International Kiteboarding Organisation), and safely learn how to combine the fun of the wind and water! For anyone new or interested in Kiteboarding/Kitesurfing!

Our recommendation to get full value is the ‘Complete Learn to Kiteboard Package’, aimed at getting you up and riding independently after 6 hrs:

Step 1 (2hrs):
1hr land based intro lesson, then 1hr in the water feeling the power of the kite!

Step 2 (2hrs):
Learn the safety controls of the kite and start getting ready to introduce the kiteboard

Step 3 (2hrs):
Become competent flying the kite independently, and get your first rides on the board!

Do you just want a taster of what wind power feels like? Then the 1hr lesson is for you, its dry land based and goes through kite control with a trainer kite and how to setup the equipment safely. Perfect if you are unsure on whether or not you want to commit to water based lessons.

Based in the Kakanui and surrounding areas, with all equipment is provided during your ‘learn to kite’ lessons (wetsuit, harness, life-jacket, helmet, kite-gear)
